Eddie Edwards Reveals Why He Chose TNA Over WWE, More

In an interview with Busted Open Radio, Eddie Edwards revealed why he decided to work for TNA instead of WWE. Here are highlights:

On where he feels tag team wrestling is now: “That’s always been a problem, like whatever company is they just throw two guys together and thinking it’s going to work. You can’t force chemistry, you can’t force teams to work and build together. You got to have guys that are willing to work and that want to work together and tag together and have that connection and if they don’t have it, it is just not going to work. Right now you look at TNA and obviously the matches we been having with Team 3D and The Hardys. I don’t pay attention to a lot of stuff and hearing the fans saying that tag team wrestling has to be put back on the forefront and needs to be brought out and it could be forgot about easily from certain companies. That’s our goal is not to let that happen.”

On pressure to continue wrestling even while you’re hurt: “Definitely, there is nobody that is 100%. You’re always beat up, bumped and bruised and that is something you have to go through and work through. Especially right now in me and Davey’s position; we are the World Tag Team champions and we want to go out and show what we can do each and every week especially with these matches. We have been having trying to step it up every time we are in there and it is something we pride ourselves on. It just comes with the territory and we know that.”

On why The Wolves chose TNA over WWE: “TNA felt like it is a better place and a better fit. Somewhere we can go right to TV and start showing the world what we are capable up. Yeah we went down to the WWE and we had a tryout, but we just didn’t mesh and if we had to weigh our options we would probably say TNA is a better place for us.”
