When TNA originally brought Homicide back for some X Division matches, they didn’t plan to use him much more than a few multi-man matches. However, since he got over so well in New York City, they changed their plans. The company rewrote parts of iMPACT! Wrestling episodes to build him up as a contender for Samoa Joe’s X Division title last week.
Homicide was set to work last week’s iMPACT! tapings in Bethlehem, PA, but he was forced to withdraw due to shoulder and elbow injuries. He did, however, appear at a Pro Wrestling Syndicate event (“All Fired Up”) in Rahway, New Jersey after he personally guaranteed he would be there.
