Scott Hall Tweets: ‘Bad Times Don’t Last’

UPDATE x 2: Scott Hall tweeted the following today:

Hall then tweeted this photo of himself and Kevin Nash on Thursday evening:

As noted earlier, there are many people who are concerned with the current health of Scott Hall. That includes DDP and Jake “The Snake” Roberts as well as many of his close friends. On behalf of everyone here on the website, our best thoughts toward Scott Hall with whatever issues he may be dealing with.

UPDATE: Scott Hall and his son Cody were scheduled to appear at an event last week in California. Scott texted promoter Kirk White and told him that he “was in a dark place”, unable to get out of bed and would not be at the event. Cody, DDP and Hall’s agent Bill Behrens tried to get him to go but he refused and said he couldn’t.

There is said to be some concern over his condition after he missed the event. The promoter paid Hall $1,600 in advance, a 50% deposit, then received the text that Hall would not be there the day he was scheduled to fly from Atlanta to California.

Behrens issued the following statement to White: “I regret that Scott Hall decided last minute he would not make the trip from Atlanta with his son Cody to Big Time Wrestling’s Wrestlefest and wrestling event. His son, Cody Hall, Dallas page and myself all tried to change his mind but he could not get past the personal issues that had him unwilling to travel to California. Kirk, you are a true professional who goes out of his way to deliver what he promotes and promises. I hope the fans who attend WrestleFest and that evening’s wrestling event do not feel shortchanged by Scott’s decision. I am confident all who attend will have a great time. I believe it is Scott Hall’s loss to have missed this opportunity to meet his many fans and to see his son Cody wrestle for the first time in California. I am sure in time he will come to regret his decision, if he has not already.”

There isn’t much known about Hall’s condition at this time. Jake Roberts recently said on Roddy Piper’s podcast that he is “very concerned” with Hall.

ORIGINAL: As previously reported, Scott Hall canceled an appearance at Saturday’s WrestleFest show in Newark, California at the last minute. Big Time Wrestling revealed on their web site that Hall’s agent Bill Behrens contacted them on Friday to say that Hall was not going to attend.

The email, which was published in full, notes that “Scott Hall decided last minute he would not make the trip from Atlanta with his son Cody” and that Behrens, Cody and Dallas Page all tried to change his mind. However, Behrens said “he could not get past the personal issues that had him unwilling to travel to California.”

The email concludes with, “I believe it is Scott Hall’s loss to have missed this opportunity to meet his many fans and to see his son Cody wrestle for the first time in California. I am sure in time he will come to regret his decision, if he has not already.”

DDP spoke with Wrestling Inc last week for a podcast and said that Hall was having a difficult time with the Ultimate Warrior’s passing. He said, “I think the Warrior passing affected a lot of people. I know Scott and Jake had great discussions with him. Both of them were supposed to work with Warrior at sometime and didn’t. Scott was supposed to tag with Flair at Survivor Series and that was around the time Warrior ended up leaving. Jake was doing all those vignettes and that didn’t work out either. Jake held onto that anger until they talked. Scott will never put himself out there as the poster boy for being cured. He’s thinking he could fall today. He only lives a mile from me, which was his design, and sometimes he’ll just come by. I am a foundation of positive energy because the other way sucks. You need to figure out how to pull yourself up again.”

It is important to note that no one has specifically stated that Hall has fallen off the wagon, and it is possible that he could feel that he’s at risk of doing so or is dealing with some other issue. Until we hear otherwise, anything else beyond “unnamed personal/medical issues” is just speculation.
