WWE Survivor Series Opener:
We open the show with Triple H’s music, and the game makes his way out to the ring with Stephanie McMahon in tow.
Hunter and Stephanie both have mic’s in hand. Stephanie welcomes the crowd to the 27th annual Survivor Series. She says last week her and Hunter guaranteed there would be no interference in the WWE Championship match, but they’re taking it one step further by guaranteeing there will be no interference in ANY match. And they’re going to open the show with a traditional 5-on-5 elimination match. This segues into a video package that highlights the Authority, and some of the main feuds heading into tonight’s show.
The pyro hits, and we’re ready to begin the show properly. Michael Cole welcomes the home audience, until he’s interrupted by Rey Mysterio’s music, and the masked man makes his return to WWE PPV.
5-on-5 Traditional Elimination Match
Cody Rhodes, Goldust, The Usos and Rey Mysterio vs. Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose, Jack Swagger and Antonio Cesaro
The Uso’s are out next, doing their dance at the top of the ramp before pumping the crowd up on their way to the ring. Goldust and Cody Rhodes are out next, and the Rhodes brothers get a very warm welcome from the fans in attendance.
Jack Swagger and Antonio Cesaro are the first two men out for the opposing team, and of course they’re accompanied by Zeb Coalter. Coalter has a mic and asks for the music to be cut. Zeb talks about the Boston tea party for a bit, but says looking around at the fans tonight, he can clearly see there are no revolutionaries amongst us. But if the tea party were held today, none of the fans would know it because they don’t pay attention. They do stupid things like ‘twerking’, or talking on cell phones, or cheering some boring guy like David Ortiz. Cody has a mic and he says none of these people paid for him to talk, and none of them want to see Zeb twerk. This leads to The Shield’s music hitting, and the dominant trio make their way to the ring through the crowd.
The bell rings, and it looks like Ambrose and Cody will kick things off. We get a lock up and Ambrose goes behind, then into a headlock. Cody fights him off, but falls to a shoulder block. Ambrose goes behind again, but it tripped by Cody. Cody ducks a right hand and gives one of his own to Ambrose. Ambrose backs Cody into the corner and beats on him for a bit before hitting a big chop and grinding his forearm across Cody’s face. Cody fights back with a couple of rights and a clothesline before kicking Ambrose in the chest, but Ambrose comes back with a knee to the gut and series of stomps in the corner.
Ambrose gets in the ref’s face and is rolled up by Rhodes for three.
Dean Ambrose is eliminated
Ambrose catches a big right hand from Goldust on his way out. The rest of the Shield is in and they’re clotheslined over the top by The Uso’s. The Uso’s knock the Real American’s out on the other side of the ring, and each takes a turn diving out on an opposing tag team. Back in the ring Rhodes hits Rollins with a big front duplex for two. Rhodes tags out to Goldust who comes in and hits Rollins with a series of rights in the corner, before hitting a big backdrop for a one count. Goldust locks in a headlock, Cesaro makes the blind tag, then Swagger makes another blind tag and runs right over Goldust before trapping him in the corner with a series of knees to the gut.
Cesaro tags in and we get a bit of double team work on Goldust that’s good for a two count. Swagger tags in and Cesaro catapults Goldust into a giant slam from Swagger for two. Swagger picks Goldust up and hits a big clothesline before following with a Vader bomb. Cesaro tags back in and leaps over Swagger with a HUGE double stomp on Goldust for another two count. Cesaro clamps on a rear chin lock and Goldust is quick to fight out of it. Cesaro tries for a hit toss, but he’s pinned with a backslide, then hit with a DDT.
Cesaro stops Goldust from hitting a tag and picks him up with a giant gut-wrench throw. Goldust fights out of the heel corner and hits a yoshi-tonic! Swagger tags in and tries for another Swagger bomb, but Goldust gets his feet up, and Mysterio tags in. Mysterio hits a seated denton on Swagger, then an arm drag. Swagger catches Ray in a gut-wrench, but Rey counters into a big hurricanrana that sends Swagger into the ropes. Rey hits the 619 and one of the Uso’s tags in. Jey hits a giant splash from the top and Swagger takes the three count.
Swagger is eliminated
Cesaro hits a giant dropkick, then a beautiful pop-up European uppercut for two. Cesaro traps Uso in the giant swing and gets 15 revolutions. Jimmy is in and Cesaro stops him, hitting a 20 revolution giant swing. Cesaro looks a bit dizzy as Rhodes tags in and rolls Cesaro up for 3.
Cesaro is eliminated
Reigns makes his way into the match for the first time. Rhodes ducks a clothesline and gets in a couple of shots before tagging in an Uso. the other Uso tags in and hits a flying forearm in the corner. Reigns comes right back with a charging running elbow. Rollins tags in and stomps away on Uso in the corner. Rollins peppers Uso with a couple of big rights for a two count. Reigns tags in and buries his fist in Uso’s gut for another quick two. Reigns puts Uso in an arm bar, but Uso is quick to fight out. Another tag, and Rollins heads to the top with a flying fist to Uso’s chest, then a quick belly to back suplex for another two count. Rollins clamps on a rear chin lock.
Reigns is back in, and Uso counters a double suplex. Rollins is back dropped over the top, and Jey makes the tag to Jimmy. Jimmy hits a big Samoan drop, then charges in, hitting a butt bump to Reign’s face in the corner. Jimmy heads to the top, but he’s stopped by Reigns. Reigns tries for a superplex, but Jimmy fights it off with a couple of head butts. Uso dives off, but Reigns gets his knees up. Reigns pops up in the corner, and comes out with a giant spear.
Jimmy Uso is eliminated
Cody comes in with a giant springboard missile dropkick. Rollins tags in and eats a moonsault. Rollins avoids the Cross Rhodes, but eventually falls to it. Reigns makes the blind tag and hits a spear to eliminate Rhodes.
Cody Rhodes is eliminated
Jey is right in and he takes the fight to the floor, throwing Reigns into the barricade hard. Jey brings things back into the ring, and goes to the top rope, but misses a dive. Rollins tags in and curb stomps Uso. He pins Jey for the three count.
Jey Uso is eliminated
Mysterio is in and Rollins hits him with a series of clubbing blows to the back. Mysterio comes back with a nasty kick to the side of Rollins’ head that’s good for two. Rey heads out to the apron and up to the top, but Rollins stops him and Rey’s trapped in the tree of woe. Rollins backs up and hits a running dropkick to Rey in the corner before tagging out to Reigns. Reigns slides Rey across the mat and out to the floor.
Mysterio makes it back into the ring at 9. Reigns misses a spear in the corner and rolls shoulder first into the ring post. Both men crawl to their corners. Rollins makes the tag and dropkicks Goldust to the floor before tossing Rey into the corner. Rey counters an electric chair drop into a roll up for three.
Rollins is eliminated
Rollins and Reigns team up on Mysterio for a bit before Rolling is sent to the back. Reigns looks a bit upset at being left alone before choking Mysterio against the bottom rope. Reigns eats a kick to the chest, and Mysterio tries to dive underneath Reigns to make the tag. Reigns catches him,but eats an enzugiri, then a drop toe hold into the corner. Goldust tags in and hits a series of clotheslines, then a big throat thrust. Goldust gets a two count, then takes Reigns into the corner for a series of ten punches to the face. Goldust is tossed into the corner, but he comes right back with a huge powerslam. Reigns blocks a suplex, then backs Goldust into the corner. Goldust is able to head to the top for a cross-body, but Reigns kicks out.
Goldust tries for a bulldog, but Reigns counters and hits a giant spear for three.
Goldust has been eliminated
Reigns catches Mysterio leaping from the top, but Rey puts him into the ropes. Rey goes for the 619, but Reigns comes back with another huge spear. Reigns pins Rey for three.
Winner and SOLE SURVIVOR: Roman Reigns
Backstage:
Hunter, Kane, and Stephanie are backstage and Orton intrudes. Orton says he wants to make sure everyone is all on the same page about him being the face of the WWE. Stephanie says it’s great to see Orton. Hunter is a bit confused as to what Orton is demanding. Hunter tells Orton he’s the Viper, the WWE Champion, the face of the WWE. Stephanie tells him to go prove it.
WWE Intercontinental Title Match
Curtis Axel vs. Big E Langston
The bell rings and we get a lock up right away. Axel clamps on a head lock, but Big E turns things around with a big takedown. Another lockup and Axel goes to work on Langston’s arm, pounding away at it before wrenching. Langston breaks Axel’s grip and tosses him across the ring. Langston backs Axel up into the corner, and catches a right hand and a couple of chops when the ref breaks it up. Langston ducks a clothesline and hits a huge shoulder tackle before spearing Axel in the corner. Langston pops Axel up and lets him fall before hitting a big flying shoulder block. Axel bails to the outside and Langston follows, hitting a right hand to the gut before sending Axel back into the ring. Axel catches Langston with a big forearm, then spears him through the ropes out to the floor. Axel goes to the apron and leaps off with a flying forearm to wipe out Langston.
Axel brings things back into the ring and stomps away at Langston before hitting a snap mare, then whipping Langston’s neck. Axel clamps on a rear chin lock, but Langston fights up to his feet quickly. Langston tosses Axel off, avoids a kick, and hits a couple of clotheslines and a belly to belly suplex. Langston hits a big splash to Axel’s back, then pulls down the straps. Axel is able to connect with the perfect-plex, but Langston kicks out at two. Langston runs into an elbow in the corner, and catches Axel comes off the top, but Axel fights out. Langston is able to connect with the Big Ending, and he gets the three count.
Winner and STILL WWE Intercontinental Champion: Big E Langston
Big E is interviewed in the ring following the match. Big E says he doesn’t mean to pander to the fans here, in Boston, but when he won the title, and retained, it was like the Boston Red Sox winning the World Series. Of course this gets a giant (cheap) pop from the crowd.
Backstage:
AJ is shown backstage with Tamina. AJ says she’s been called a lot of things, but she hasn’t come this far to be taken out now. AJ says this is the time to take back the Diva’s division. She asks who’s with her. Her team is shown, and they don’t look too happy. After AJ talks down to them a bit, Kaitlyn asks why they should trust her. She’s made enemies with all of them. AJ says she doesn’t like Kaitlyn, but this is about the fact that Total Divas doesn’t want any of them, and maybe it’s because they’re not pretty enough, or they have a funny accident, or they just dance. All AJ knows is none of them are on Total Divas. She tells them to start their own show by stealing this one tonight.
7-on-7 Traditional Elimination Match
Cameron, Naomi, Natalya, Eva Marie, Jo Jo and The Bella Twins vs. AJ Lee, Tamina Snuka, Alicia Fox, Kaitlyn, Summer Rae, Rosa Mendes and Aksana
Alicia Fox and Naomi kick things off for their teams. We get a lock up, and Alicia sends Naomi into the corner, driving her face into the turnbuckle. Fox hits a big tilt a whirl backbreaker for a one count. Fox picks up Naomi and throws her across the ring before hitting a running boot in the corner. Fox seats Naomi on the top turnbuckle, and heads up after her. Naomi fights out, then hits a split legged moonsault for three.
Alicia Fox is eliminated
Rosa is in, and so is Cameron, and the Funkadactyls hit a double split leg-drop. Cameron takes Rosa into the corner and drivers her face into the top turnbuckle. Rosa sends Cameron into the corner, and apparently it’s enough for three.
Cameron is eliminated
Nikki is in and she hits a face buster for a three count
Rosa is eliminated
Summer is in, and we get a bit of a dance-off, with Nikki doing the worm. Nikki hits a giant kick and gets the three count.
Summer Rae is eliminated
Kaitlyn and Eva Maria are in, and Kaitlyn drops her with a G2S like maneuver for three.
Eva Maria is eliminated
Naomi is in and she gets dropped with the same G2S-lite over the knee, for another three count.
Naomi is eliminated
Brie tosses Kaitlyn into the corner and hits a big missile dropkick for three.
Kaitlyn is eliminated
AJ distracts Brie and allows Aksana to hit a big spinebuster for three.
Brie is eliminated
Nikki is in a drops Aksana to the mat across her shoulders for three.
Aksana is eliminated
Tamina comes in with a couple of big head butts to Nikki.
Tamina hits a big suplex on Nikki, and the crowd is having none of this match. Tamina tosses Nikki into the corner, then runs into a big enzugiri. Nikki tags in Jojo, and Jojo comes in cautiously. We get a lock up, and Tamina tosses her away. Tamina picks Jojo up, then slams her back down to the mat before tossing her vest at Jojo. Tamina throws Jojo into the corner, but runs into two boots. Jojo heads to the middle rope, but is caught by Tamina. Jojo turns things around with a roll up, and Tamina comes right back, knocking her down to the mat. Tamina shoulders Jojo, and hits a Samoan drop.
AJ tags in and gets the three count.
Jojo has been eliminated
Tamina tags back in, and kicks Natalya in the gut. Tamina backs Natalya into the corner and stomps away at her, before running in with a hip bump. Tamina picks Natalya up and slams her down to the mat. Tamina heads to the apron, then to the top turnbuckle. Tamina goes for the big splash, but Natalya rolls out of the way and locks Tamina in the sharpshooter. AJ comes in to break it up as Tamina taps out.
Tamina is eliminated
Natalya traps AJ in the sharpshooter, and AJ is forced to tap out.
Winner: Natalya and Nikki Bella
Randy Orton stops Charles Robinson in the back. He says he and Charles have been friends for a while, and Orton hopes he knows he’s always had Charles’ back. He asks Charles to call tonight’s match right down the middle. He asks if Charles gets what he’s trying to say. Charles says he’s going to do what the Authority says.
In the Arena:
Josh Matthews is joined by Mick Foley, Booker T, and Bret Hart for the Survivor Series expert panel. They start to have a bit of discussion, but are interrupted by Ryback.
Ryback comes out with a mic and he says his favorite Survivor Series memory is when he came out and shut-up all the old timer’s on the panel. He says they won’t do anything because they’re cowards just like everyone in this second-rate arena. He can intimidate all of them, and everyone in the locker room. That doesn’t make him a bully. He is not a bully. He’s Ryback, that’s the name on the marquee. And tonight he’s issuing an open challange, to anyone who wants to make a name for themselves. Ryback tells anyone to come out here and prove him wrong. He looks a bit taken aback as Mark Henry’s music hits.
Ryback vs. Mark Henry
The bell rings, and we get a lockup right away. Ryback backs Henry into the corner and shoves at his face. Another lockup, and Henry shoves Ryback away. Ryback comes back with a knee to the gut and a couple of clubbing blows, but he runs right into a big shoulder block. Henry shoulders Ryback, but Ryback drops down and chop blocks Henry’s knee. Ryback hits a splash to Henry’s back for two. Ryback hits more clubbing blows to Henry’s back, then picks him up for a giant suplex.
Ryback charges into the corner, but connects with the ring post and falls to the outside. Ryback makes it back into the ring at 7, but eats an immediate head butt, then another. Henry drops to his hands and knees and hits another head butt. Ryback comes back with an elbow, and another chop block. Ryback traps Henry in a rear chin lock, but Henry fights up to his feet and out of the hold. Henry hits a shoulder block, then a big clothesline. Henry shoulders Ryback again, and connects with the powerslam this time, it’s good for two. Henry waits for Ryback to stand, but he misses the World’s strongest slam, and Ryback hits a spinebuster. Henry counters the meathook clothesline with a jumping crossbody. Henry hits the World’s strongest slam for three.
Winner: Mark Henry
– Booker says Ryback was worried about the panel, but should have been worried about Mark Henry, who’s back. Matthews shifts the focus to the World Heavyweight Championship match. Hart says that Del Rio is cunning and dangerous, and if he gets Cena’s arm, it could be game over. Foley says it often comes down to heart and will, and it might come down to the support from Cena’s hometown fans, which might not be with him. Booker says we’ll find out if Del Rio can pull out the win tonight.
– We get a recap of last month’s match between Cena and Del Rio, where Cena returned to win the World Heavyweight Championship, and the events that have taken place over the last couple of weeks of Cena’s reign.
World Heavyweight Title Match
Alberto Del Rio vs. John Cena
The bell rings, and both men begin circling each other. There are a good number of Cena Sucks signs in the crowd. Del Rio goes behind Cena, but Cena breaks his grip and puts Del Rio in a head lock. Del Rio turns things around into a head lock of his own. Cena pushes Del Rio off, but eats a quick shoulder block. Another lock up, and another head lock from Cena. Cena hits a headlock takeover, but Del Rio fights right up to his feet and out of the hold. Cena hits a shoulder block, but gets caught with a hip toss from Del Rio. Del Rio puts Cena into a side headlock on the mat.
Cena fights up to his feet, and out of the hold. Del Rio hits a shoulderblock, and catches Cena with a kick to the back of the knee before grinding his boot into Cena’s face. Del Rio hits a snap suplex that’s good for two. Del Rio traps Cena’s arm in a keylock hold, but Cena fights up, shouldering Del Rio in the process. Del Rio drops down, then hits a big clothesline on Cena for another two count. Del Rio hits a stiff kick to Cena’s back before going for the arm again. Cena’s in the ropes, so the ref breaks it up. Del Rio heads to the top rope, and leaps off with a really sloppy punch to the arm.
Del Rio and Cena fight to the outside where Cena blocks his head from being driven into the ring steps, but ends up being whipped into them instead. Del Rio brings things back into the ring for another two count before pounding away at Cena’s head. Del Rio stomps away at Cena before heading to the top rope again. Del Rio leaps off with a sloppy double axe handle for two. Del Rio traps Cena in an arm bar, but Cena fights out of it pretty quickly. Cena hits a series of rights, but charges across the ring and misses Del Rio, crashing into the turnbuckle. Del Rio hits a kick to the back of Cena’s arm before choking Cena with his boot.
Cena pulls himself to his feet, using Del Rio for support. Cena hits a shoulder tackle, but misses the second, and Cena flies to the outside. Del Rio heads out after him and tosses Cena into the barricade. Del Rio climbs the stairs and mocks Cena before heading back into the ring. Cena gets back to the apron and snaps Del Rio’s neck across the top rope, but on his way into the ring he’s caught with a clothesline from Del Rio. Del Rio traps Cena in another keylock hold, wearing down the champ.
Cena fights back up to his feet, shouldering Del Rio again. Del Rio grabs onto the ropes and fights out of it. Cena hits dual shoulder tackles, but Del Rio follows up with a backstabber out of nowhere for two. Del Rio climbs to the top, and mocks Cena once more, but he leaps off right into a dropkick from Cena. Cena hits the belly to back suplex, and tries for the five knuckle shuffle, but Del Rio counters with a kick to the head and a DDT for two. Del Rio wraps Cena’s arm around the rope and wrenches away, but he misses the back splash when Cena moves out of the way, and Del Rio slips through the ropes and out to the floor.
Del Rio makes it into the ring at 9, and walks right into a belly to back suplex. Cena hits the five knuckle shuffle, but Del Rio counters the AA into a bridging German suplex for two. Del Rio calls for Cena to stand, but he misses the enzugiri in the corner. Del Rio counters the STF, but Cena comes right back with a giant tornado DDT out of the corner for two. Cena goes to the apron and climbs to the top turnbuckle, but Del Rio catches him with the enzugiri for two.
Del Rio comes in with a big clubbing blow to the back of Cena. Del Rio seats Cena on the top rope and pulls him back in the tree of woe, choking Cena with his boot. Del Rio runs in with a spear, but Cena sits up and Del Rio runs into the ring post. Cena stands on the top rope and leaps off with a huge rocker dropper for two.
Cena runs right into a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker, but he still kicks out at two. Del Rio calls for the cross armbreker, floating over, but Cena counters, going right into the STF. Del Rio reaches for the ropes, touching them with one finger to break the hold. Del Rio kicks Cena in the gut, then hits another kick flush to the face. Cena kicks out of a pin attempt at two.
Del Rio tries for the armbreaker again, but Cena pops up Del Rio into a big neckbreaker for two. Cena pulls himself up with the ropes, and he heads to the top again. Cena leaps off into a cross body, but Del Rio rolls through into the cross armbreaker. Del Rio rips at Cena’s arm, but Cena stands and slams Del Rio down to the mat. Del Rio stands, and Cena shoulders him. Cena avoids the armbreaker and hits the AA, getting the three count.
Winner and STILL World Heavyweight Champion: John Cena
Following the match, Cena drops to one knee and holds his title high in front of a sea of ‘Cena sucks’ signs. It’s a pretty great visual.
Backstage:
Santino and R-Truth are shown arguing about who’s going to win Money in the Bank. They then begin playing with action figures, and Los Matadores come in from out of nowhere, with El Torito. Fandango also buts in when R-Truth says it’s time to dance. John Laurinaitis comes in out of nowhere when someone says the word ‘power’ and Laurinaitis talks about people power before everyone watches R-Truth and Santino play with toys.
– We get a creepy video package that highlights the problems Punk and Bryan have with the Wyatt family. It’s really well done, no surprise there.
Erick Rowan and Luke Harper vs. Daniel Bryan and CM Punk
Bray Wyatt is shown holding a lamp, saying ‘he speaks to me, she said you’d be tough as nails, but we are the reapers’. He tells Bryan and Punk to run, and then they make their way to the ring.
Rowan and Bryan look to kick things off while Bray watches from the entranceway. Bryan ducks a couple of clotheslines and scores with kick to Rowan’s knee. Rowan knocks Bryan back in the corner, and hits him with a shot to the gut. Rowan knocks Bryan away with a head butt, then backs him into the corner with another. Bryan ducks another clothesline and scores with a series of kicks to the knee before Punk tags in. Rowan tosses Punk away, but Punk comes back with a dropkick to the knee. Rowan hits a big clubbing blow to Punk’s back, then tags in Harper. Harper hits a European uppercut, and grinds his forearm across Punk’s face. Punk comes back with a cross body, and a big chop, but Harper comes up with a chop of his own.
Rowan tags in and traps Punk in a bear hug, wearing down the straight edge superstar. Punk fights out of the hold, scores with a couple of kicks, and tries for a suplex Rowan counters, but Punk lands on his feet and tags Bryan. Punk and Bryan try for a double suplex, but Rowan suplexes both men at once. Rowan backs Bryan into the corner and tosses him across the ring, but Bryan hits a drop toe hold that sends him into the corner. Punk tags in and we get dueling kicks. fast tags and the series of kicks to Rowan continues. Punk and Bryan hit a double belly to back suplex. but Punk can’t hold him down for three.
Rowan slams Punk to the mat, and tags in Harper. Harper misses a big right, and Punk is able to tag out to Bryan. Punk and Bryan hit a double dropkick, and Bryan hits a series of kicks to Harper’s chest. Punk and Bryan hits a Hart attack on Harper, but Rowan breaks up the pin. Punk jaws with Rowan, and it leads to Harper hitting a giant boot to the face of Punk. Rowan tags in and gets a quick two count. Rowan wrenches Punk’s head and neck. Punk is able to fight up to his feet, but Rowan puts him down with a big blow to the back. Rowan picks up Punk, and drops him down spine first across his knee. Harper tags in and stomps away at Punk.
Harper locks Punk in the gator roll, but Punk fights to his feet and out of it. Punk catches Harper with a couple of big chops, but Harper fights back with a modified Michinoku driver. Rowan tags in and drops an elbow across Punk’s back for two. Rowan buries his knee in Punk’s back and yanks back on his head and neck. Punk gets to his feet, and tries to make the tag to Bryan, but Rowan blocks it and shoves Punk into the corner. Punk is able to connect with a tornado DDT out of the corner.
Both men make the tag and Bryan scores with a couple of kicks before backflipping over Harper and connecting with a flying clothesline. Bryan low-bridges Harper and leaps through the ropes, wiping out Harper. Harper looks to have hurt his knee. Bryan hits a missile dropkick from the top rope. Bryan hits Harper with a series of kicks to the chest, and follows it with a hurricanrana, and a running kick in the corner. Bryan sits Harper on the top and tries for a hurricanrana, but Harper counters with a top rope powerbomb. Punk is in to break it up, but Rowan picks up Punk and chucks him over the top rope.
Rowan hits Bryan with a splash but it’s not enough for three. Bray is screaming at Bryan. Rowan picks Bryan up and slams him three times (which Harper tells him to do from the apron), but it’s still not enough for a three count. Rowan catches Punk with a boot as he tries to get back to the apron. Harper tags in and hits a big running splash before catapulting Bryan throat first into the ropes for two. Harper picks Bryan up to his feet, and Bryan fights out of the hostile corner, only to eat a giant suplex from Harper. Harper runs toward Punk, but Punk catches him with a big kick and both men are down.
Bryan makes the tag and Punk comes in with a top rope clothesline, followed by a series of regular clotheslines. Punk hits the running knee in the corner and follows with a short-arm clothesline. Punk goes to the top rope and teases the elbow drop before leaping out on top of Bray and Rowan. Punk heads back in the ring and drops Harper to the mat before going to the top rope and leaping off with a beautiful elbow drop. Punk shoulders Harper, but Rowan saves him. Bryan hits Rowan with the flying knee, and Punk is able to shoulder Harper for the Go To Sleep. Punk covers Harper for the three count.
Winners: CM Punk and Daniel Bryan
Following the match, Bray looks upset and teases getting into the ring. He stands on the apron, and Bryan tells him to get into the ring, taunting him with ‘yes’ chants. Wyatt drops from the apron and tells Punk and Bryan that he never sleeps before the Wyatts head to the back, and Punk and Bryan celebrate in the ring.
– Cena is shown backstage with the Authority, talking about the state of his arm. Orton storms in, and Cena says he’s good to go before walking off. Orton asks what that was about, and what he was doing there. Hunter stares Orton down and Orton storms off. Hunter mutters ‘paranoid’ under his breath.
– We get a video package that highlights the events leading up to the main event, everything from Show being the hired gun of the Authority, to being fired, to coming back to a WWE Championship match.
WWE Title Match
Big Show vs. Randy Orton
The bell rings, and Orton immediately jumps to the outside. Orton gets back into the ring, and tries to score a couple of quick blows before Show tosses him into the corner. Orton ducks a clothesline and gets tied up in the ropes trying to go to the outside. Show follows him, and Orton heads back into the ring. Show traps Orton in the corner and hits him with a giant open hand chop. Show chases Orton around the ring and hits him with a couple of body blows that drop him to the mat, before he stands on the champ’s chest. Orton bails out to the floor again, but Show palms Orton’s head and picks him up to the apron. Orton snaps Show’s neck across the top rope before coming back in. Show hits a big clothesline and follows up with a nice elbow drop for two. Show hits Orton with another open hand chop to the chest and the crowd calls for one more. Show is happy to oblige, and Orton looks miserable.
Show hits a splash in the corner, but Orton is quick to follow up with a big dropkick. Orton stomps away at Show on the mat, and his chest is already bruising. Orton backs away and drops a knee on Show’s chest before clamping on a front face lock. Show is able to work up to his feet, and Orton transitions into a sleeper hold. ‘Boring’ chants from the crowd. Show drops to the mat to break the hold.
Show hits a big right hand, then a clothesline, before hitting a backsplash in the corner, and a running shoulder block. Show calls for the chokeslam, and Orton rolls to the outside. Show follows Orton and throws him hard into the ring steps. Show throws Orton into the steps a second time before tossing him back into the ring. Show begins climbing up in the corner, but Orton stops him with a couple of running boots. Orton grabs Show and pulls him out, trying for the suspension DDT. Show loses his grip, and falls to the mat, but Orton follows through with the DDT anyway.
Orton tries for the RKO, but Show counters with a chokeslam. Show tries for the pin, but only gets two. Show looks at his hand, and balls it into a fist. Orton bails to the floor and begins crawling toward the back. Show follows, and Orton tries to fight him off. Show throws Orton into the ropes, and right into the ref’s leg. Orton is able to shove Show face first into the ring post. Orton looks under the ring and grabs a chair, but Show stops him with a boot to the gut before tossing him out into the crowd.
Show follows Orton out into the crowd, but tosses him into the ringside area. On his way back in, Show catches Orton with the knockout punch. Show picks Orton up and tosses him back into the ring. Show climbs back into the ring, and Triple H’s music hits. Hunter makes his way out with Stephanie and Kane. They pause at the top of the ramp, and Orton is able to hit the RKO off the distraction.
Orton stands in the corner, and is able to connect with the punt. Orton pins Big Show and this one is over.

After The Match
The Authority walks to the ring still applauding Orton’s win. The referee hands Orton the WWE title. Orton hugs the belt and stands up. We see some highlights via replay of the match as the announcers bitch and complain about The Authority distracting Big Show and costing him the WWE Championship. It’s only 10:42 as I’m writing this, I don’t think this is over quite yet. John Cena’s music hits. Out comes Cena. Cena holds up the World Heavyweight Championship. Cena comes down holding his World Title proudly. He stops in between Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. He runs into the ring. Cena and Orton stare at each other holding their titles. Orton seems confused as to what’s going on. So do the announcers. Both guys stand in front of each other holding their titles up. It’s 10:43pm E.T. / 7:43pm P.T. and we go off the air on that note.
