“YOUSHOOT: INSANE CLOWN POSSE” TAKING SUBMISSIONS
The shoot-style interview series “YouShoot” has garnered the reputation of being unpredictable, uncensored, and unapologetic. Previous guests like Kevin Nash, Jim Cornette, Sean Waltman and others made headlines facing the general public, being painfully truthful, occasionally being shot on, and in turn…shooting right back. With today’s announcement citing the Insane Clown Posse as the series’ next guests, it seems those stakes may have just been raised tenfold. Submissions for fan videos and questions are being taken at Kayfabe Commentaries, the series producers, website www.kayfabecommentaries.com.
ICP (Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope) are best known for being unruly, theatrical rap icons, as well as having taken a few spins in the wrestling ring. Their Gathering of the Juggalos festival has continued to grow in scope, encompassing wrestling and music for the die-hard ICP disciples, the “Juggalos.” Their reputation for abject honesty and a loyalty to no one (but the Juggalos) was fostered by having been largely ignored by mainstream entertainment media. It would seem, in many ways, they were made for the shoot-style programming market. And certainly for the “YouShoot” series.
ICP member Violent J was drawn to the series, and is an admitted fan. “We’re pumped to do the show,” Violent J said. “It’s straight-up f***ing funny, and it lets us be the real us! There is no fronting on YouShoots. So it’s the perfect show for us and we want all the Juggalos to send in their questions and videos. Can you shoot!?”
Kayfabe Commentaries president Sean Oliver said there were apparent similarities between ICP’s Juggalo following and KC’s devotees, who have taken to calling themselves the Kayfabe Commandos. “Any dirty-neck, grassroots following is born out of people who share a love for what someone is doing, and see the lengths to which they go to in order to provide it,” Oliver started. “ICP came up the right way…with the ‘build it and they will come’ philosophy. Despite radio, despite magazines, despite TV music channels, they made it. Our Commandos see our product imitated by the major federations all the time, and it’s why they have taken to crashing major televised events and dousing the screen with KC related signs. The shoot programming market is micro-niche and through their loyalty we’ve dominated it. I see so many similarities between both our organizations. Mad similarities, I guess I should say.”
The submission period is open until Halloween night, October 31st. Fans, Commandos, and Juggalos all over the world can whatever question they want answered. And as always with the “YouShoot” series, and ICP in general…nothing is out of bounds. Visit www.kayfabecommentaries.com for more information.
