— WWE is reportedly in the final stages of making a decision for locations for WrestleMania 31 and 32 in 2015 and 2016 as we noted last week here on the website. For those who may have missed it, one of the frontrunners is Levi Stadium in Santa Clara, California. That stadium opens in time for the 2014 NFL season for the San Francisco 49ers and will host the Super Bowl in 2016. ABC 6 reported last week that Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia expressed interest in hosting a WrestleMania event as well. WWE will be making an official announcement on locations in early 2014.

— Here are some recent WWE and TNA television ratings from July 1 to July 5, 2013:

TNA iMPACT! Wrestling: The 7/4 show drew a 0.77 cable rating with 1.05 million viewers. The drop in rating was expected due to the holiday, but ended up performing very well. The show even drew a higher 0.7 among males 18-34, but was low among males 35-49 with a 0.5.

WWE SmackDown: The 7/5 show drew a 1.69 cable rating with 2.38 million viewers. While the overall viewers were up from record lows for the show on Syfy, it was the second lowest rating for the show this year. It finished No. 7 overall for the night on cable.
