— WWE has announced that it will hold its quarterly financial report conference call on August 1st. The call will cover the company’s second quarter of 2013 and will begin at 11 AM ET, before the market opens. Vince McMahon and senior management will host the call as normal.
The company said in the press release, “All interested parties are welcome to listen to a live web cast that will be hosted through the Company’s web site at corporate.wwe.com. Participants can access the conference call by dialing 855-993-1400 (toll free) or 630-691-2763 from outside the U.S. (conference ID for both lines: WWE). Please reserve a line 15 minutes prior to the start time of the conference call.”
— ABC Channel 6 in Philadelphia has a report up on WWE possibly going to Philadelphia (due to the huge renovation planned for Lincoln Financial Field).
WWE stated the following, “Philadelphia is one of the many cities that has expressed an interest in hosting a future WrestleMania. An announcement regarding WrestleMania 31 will be made early next year.”
We noted earlier here on the website that WWE officials are getting closer to selecting a location for the WrestleMania 2015 and 2016 events. Presently, one of the frontrunners is the new Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
Levi’s Stadium will open for the NFL’s San Francisco 49’ers in 2014, and will also play host to the NFL’s 2016 Super Bowl.
If WWE does in fact select Levi’s Stadium, the Hall Of Fame induction ceremony and post-WrestleMania edition of RAW would emanate from the HP Pavilion in San Jose, California.
In addition to Levi’s Stadium, a major Northeastern location is said to be very much in the running as well. That Northeastern location very well could be Philadelphia.
