WWNLive.com sent out a news alert earlier today confirming what we’ve been reporting – Sami Calihan has signed a developmental deal with WWE. The email stated: “We can now announce that Sami Callihan has already wrestled on his final DGUSA/Evolve event. We want to extend a heartfelt ‘thank you’ to Sami for being an important part of DGUSA/Evolve history. Calihan started at the bottom of (the) card and through hard work and determination became a main player in the WWNLive family.” The email also teased an update on the Samuray del Sol/WWE rumors coming soon.

We reported yesterday here on the website that WWE has also signed Samuray del Sol to a developmental deal. SuperLuchas.net is reporting that Samuray del Sol signed the developmental deal during the past few weeks. The site notes that his deal is said to be “very lucrative” and valued at $1 million a year. That seems ridiculously high and keep in mind the source of news. Samurai reportedly left a great impression on WWE officials at their try-outs and “resoundingly” passed all his medical examinations for the promotion. He is going to be moving to Florida to join WWE NXT in the coming months. The Twitter account for Resistance Pro Wrestling posted the following today: CONGRATS:to @RESISTANCE_Pro star/RISING SUN tag member @samuraydelsol on his @WWE signing! Show the rest of the world what we already know!
