— As noted earlier here on the website, U.S. District Court Judge Joseph Anderson Jr. tossed out a case with Anthony Dash suing WWE, Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Mayweather Promotions claiming the beat of his entrance music infringed on a copyright he holds for a song. The Judge tossed out the case on 5/11 saying the plaintiff could provide no evidence that the playing of Mayweather’s entrance music increased the revenue of either Wrestlemania or a 2009 episode of Raw where Mayweather made an appearance.

— For those who always ask me about pay-per-view streams, I’ll throw this out there with the WWE Over the Limit PPV coming up tonight. We are not affiliated with this website at all but I use wsnlive.com. Basically you sign up for an account, make it ‘elite’ (it’s like $10 or something for the entire month – all PPVs) and you get a HQ Quality stream. It works every time for us and never skips. Again, we’re not affiliated with the site but I always get asked so here you go. It’s well worth it.

— WWE has plans for new Daniel Bryan and Sheamus DVD releases on 8/7.

— Here are some notes from WWE’s Business Partners Summit.

* George Barrios noted how social media isn’t a fad and how the company has plans to do more.

* They plan on producing 150 hours of new television per year.

* Plans are in place to add a new one hour show airing either Monday or Tuesday. This should would be like Superstars, but with “higher quality talent.”

* A new idea has been discussed of producing a one hour Spanish language show with all Hispanic stars working Lucha style. The goal would be to land a television deal with Univision.
