TNA Sacrifice Opener:

The 2012 TNA Sacrifice pay-per-view opens up with Earl Hebner trying to get Bobby Roode’s World Heavyweight Title belt so he can hang it high for the Ladder Match tonight. Roode rants on Hulk Hogan and says to tell Hogan he will be getting that belt back tonight. Roode tells Hebner to get out and we go to the Sacrifice opening video.

The pyro hits and Mike Tenay welcomes us to the PPV. Tenay immediately begins hyping the main event that will see RVD take on Bobby Roode in a ladder match. He then throws it to the ring where the World Tag Team Championship match will open the show.

TNA Tag Team Championship Match
– Samoa Joe & Magnus (c) vs. Daniels & Kazarian

Kazarian and Christopher Daniels are out first to a fair bit of heat from the crowd. Joe and Magnus are out next to a big pop from the crowd.

It looks like Daniels and Magnus will be kicking things off for their respective teams. We get a lock up and Daniels goes into a headlock before working over Magnus’ arm. Magnus is able to turn things around, taking Daniels down to the mat with a side headlock. Daniels fights to his feet, but goes back down to a shoulder block and a big body slam. Daniels catches Magnus with a kick to the gut, then a couple of shoulders to the midsection in the corner before stomping away. Magnus comes back with a series of uppercuts, before hitting a crazy vertical suplex.

Magnus and Joe each get in a couple of shots on Daniels before Joe heads into the ring and takes it to Daniels with a series of rights that seats him in the corner. Joe face washs Daniels in the corner, but he turns his back and Kaz pulls Daniels from the ring.

Daniels heads back into the ring and tags out to Kaz who runs right into a big running back elbow. Magnus tags back in and a double team Manhattan drop/running boot/back senton combo puts Kaz down for a two count. Magnus hits Kaz with a huge back body drop before telling him to get up. Magnus blocks a punch from Kaz but he’s caught with a cheap shot from Daniels, he knocks Daniels from the apron, but Daniels trips him up and Kaz hits a leg drop to the back of the head. Kaz mounts Magnus with a series of rights before tagging in Daniels who comes in and stomps at Magnus before mocking Joe.

Quick tags as Kaz comes in with a slingshot legdrop for two, and then Daniels tags back in and hits a snap mare before grinding his forearm into Magnus’ face. Kaz tags back in and Daniels hip tosses him into a prone Magnus. Kaz locks on a front face lock and Magnus is able to fight up to his feet. Daniels hits Joe to anger the big man and force a distraction, allowing Kaz to soccer kick Magnus in the ribs. Daniels tags in illegally and works over Magnus’ neck.

Joseph Park is shown sitting in the crowd. Daniels puts Magnus into his own corner and tags in Kaz who comes in with a sharp kick, then a snap mare and another kick to the back. Kaz locks up Magnus’ arms and rears back, putting pressure on the Brit’s shoulders.

Magnus fights out of the hold and takes Kaz out with a huge clothesline and both men are down. Magnus and Kaz both crawl to their corners and make the tags. Joe comes in with a series of clotheslines on Daniels before simply walking away from an asai moonsault out of the corner from Daniels. Joe catches Kaz with a snap slam before taking Daniels down to the mat hard with a huge urunage.

Magnus tags in and Joe eats a big boot from Daniels and a DDT from Kaz to take him out of the match. Magnus ends up being taken down neck first on the top rope by Kaz and taken to the mat with an STO to Magnus for two. Daniels misses the BME and falls victim to the Magnus/Joe combo, but the pin is broken up by Kaz. Magnus and Daniels end up in the ring, but Kaz takes out Magnus with a chop block, and a high low double team leads to a three count, and new tag team champions.

Winners and NEW TNA Tag Team Champions: Christopher Daniels and Kazarian

– After some serious social media shilling from Tenay and Taz, plugging their facebook and twitter, it’s time to set up the next match with a video package that details the recent history between Brooke Tessmacher and Gail Kim.

TNA Women’s Knockout Championship Match
– Gail Kim (c) vs. Brooke Tessmacher

Brooke and Gail get right in each other’s face and Gail attacks with a big forearm. Gail takes Brooke into the corner and beats on her before taking her out with a snap mare and a kick to the chest. Kim picks Brooke up and sends her into the ropes, getting a monkey flip and hurricanrana from Brooke for her troubles. Brooke tries for Eat Defeat, but Kim rolls to the outside. Kim gets back to the apron and is brought into the ring the hard way and hits with a big dropkick. Kim sends Brooke into the corner and Brooke comes out with a leaping clothesline from the second. Brooke tries for Eat Defeat again, but Kim rolls to the apron and catches Brooke with a leg drop to the back of the head on the middle rope.

Gail continues to wear out Brooke with a big clothesline that’s good for two. Brooke tries to fight back, but Kim stifles her again with a shot to the face. Kim sends Brooke into the corner and whips herself in afterwards. Kim gloats before choking Brooke with her boot. Kim picks up Brooke and hits her with a backbreaker, stretching her across her knee.

Brooke fights out with a couple of knees, but Kim picks her up and hits a short arm clothesline to take her right back down. Kim rubs her bottom in Brooke’s face before choking her with her boot again. Kim hits Brooke with a big forearm before sending her into the ropes. Brooke comes out with a flying forearm and both women are down.

Kim charges Brooke in the corner and eats a boot to the gut. Brooke hits a series of clotheslines before sending Kim into the corner and hitting a nice facebuster. Brooke heads up to the top rope, leaping off with a sort of elbow drop that’s good for a two count. Both women are slow to get to their feet. Brooke tries for a suplex, but Gail fights it off. Gail tries for Eat Defeat, but Brook fights it off and hits one of her own. Gail falls to the outside.

Brooke heads out and sends Gail right back into the ring, going for the pin, but Gail kicks out at two. Brooke charges Gail, but Gail rolls her up and puts her feet on the ropes for a three count.

Backstage:

JB is standing backstage, and he’s quick to remind the fans about the social media they can use to participate in tonight’s events. He welcomes the new TNA Tag Team Champions. Kaz says now the whole world knows how AJ Styles got his spot, by whistling Dixie. Daniels says if you eliminate Dixie Carter, you level the playing field, and the proof is these belts. Daniels says a picture is worth 1000 words, and AJ’s nightmare is just beginning. Daniels gives the world permission to worship him and Kaz before they walk off.

Triple Threat Match
– Devon (c) vs. Robbie T vs. Robbie E

The bell rings and Devon attacks both of his opponents right off the back. The numbers catch up to him though as Terry catches him from behind. Devon avoids a splash in the corner from Terry and hits E. with a clothesline before sending Terry over the top rope with a big clothesline. Devon finds himself in the ring with Robbie E. and he catches him with a series of rights in the corner. Devon catches Robbie E. with a Thesz press before popping up and knocking Terry from the apron. Devon plants Robbie with a urunage for two.

Devon is tripped and pulled to the outside by Terry. Terry beats on Devon for a bit before rolling Devon back into the ring and following. Robbie E. attacks, mounting Devon and hitting a series of rights. Robbie takes Devon into the corner, and when Devon fights back, Terry steps in to save E. Robbie says he’s got this, but he and Terry take turns wearing Devon out with non-stop offense.

Terry hits a big side slam to Devon and Robbie follows up with an elbow drop from the second rope for two. Robbie and Terry taunt Devon before sending him into the ropes. Devon catches Robbie with a kick and Terry with a spear. Devon continues to work over Robbie, hitting a big shoulder block, splash in the corner, and another shoulder block that sends Robbie from the ring. Terry attacks Devon from behind with a big clubbing blow. Terry shoulders Devon and hits a running powerslam, but Robbie prevents the ref from counting to three.

Robbie explains to Terry what’s going to happen, but it looks like Terry isn’t too happy about it. Devon catches Terry with a splash to the back that knocks him into Robbie. Devon rolls up Terry for a three count.

Winner and STILL TNA TV Champion: Devon

After the match, Devon celebrates with his title on the way to the back as Robbie E. freaks out in the ring. Robbie backs up into Terry, who looks pretty unhappy about what just happened. Robbie tries to explain things to Terry before giving him a big hug. Terry pushes Robbie’s arms away, then grabs him around the neck and gives him a noogie. Robbie looks incredibly relieved, giving Terry another hug.

– We get a video package looking at the recent issues between Jeff Hardy and Mr. Anderson, stemming from the argument about who deserves to be the #1 contender to the TNA World Championship more.

Jeff Hardy vs. Mr. Anderson

The bell rings, and both men slap hands quickly before circling each other and locking up. Anderson backs Hardy into the corner and breaks clean. Another lock up and Anderson goes right into a headlock. Hardy fights out of the hold, but gets hit with a shoulderblock. Hardy comes right back with a hip toss. He blocks a hip toss from Anderson and hits a series of arm drags and goes right into an arm bar.

Anderson turns things around, going to work on Hardy’s arm, but it doesn’t last too long as Hardy reverses things again. Anderson back Hardy into the corner and catches him with a couple of shots before whipping him across the ring and running into a head scissors. Anderson goes to the outside and Hardy catches him with a dropkick through the ropes. Hardy follows Anderson to the outside and sends him head first into the ring apron and the steel ring steps. Hardy pulls the steps out from the ring and uses them to launch himself. Anderson moves, but Hardy doesn’t crash into the guard rail, catching himself, then hitting Anderson with a clothesline and sending him into the ring. Hardy follows, and Anderson hits a nasty kick to Hardy’s ribs.

Hardy hits a jawbreaker and a Russian leg sweep before rolling Anderson up for two. Hardy splashes Anderson in the corner, seating him. Hardy goes for the corner dropkick, but Anderson kicks him away with a boot to the gut. Anderson hits a running clothesline and tries for a couple of pin attempts, but Hardy wont stay down for three. Anderson twists Hardy’s arm driving his shoulder into Hardy’s. Anderson arm drags Hardy to the mat and drives his knee into Hardy’s shoulder repeatedly. Anderson goes into a keylock, but Hardy fights right up to his feet. Anderson punches at Hardy’s arm and takes him down for two with a flying arm bar.

Hardy rolls to the apron, and hits Anderson with a couple of shoulders to the gut, but Anderson counters with a rope assisted neck breaker, taking Hardy down for another two count. Anderson pulls Hardy to the middle of the ring and locks in an Arm bar, positioning himself above Hardy and twisting and grinding down on Hardy’s shoulder.

Hardy fights out of the hold, and takes Anderson down to the mat with a mic check, although it looks like Anderson doesn’t do too well with taking his own move. Anderson gets to his feet first and takes Hardy to the corner, only to be blocked. Hardy fights back, sending Anderson into the ropes, but he’s caught with a kick to the shoulder. Hardy comes back with a couple of clotheslines, an elbow, and a big flying clothesline. Anderson hits Hardy with a back elbow and sends him into the corner. Anderson avoids the poetry in motion. Anderson hits the twist of fate and covers Hardy for two.

Anderson goes for a swanton, but Hardy is able to get his knees up. Hardy goes up and goes for the swanton, hitting it and pinning Anderson for another two count.

Anderson and Hardy trade right hands on their knees, then they fight up to their feet, trading blows the entire time. Hardy hits an inverted atomic drop, then tries for his low dropkick, but it’s blocked by Anderson. Anderson rolls up Hardy, and it’s a really weird three count, but the bell rings, and apparently Anderson won the match. Anderson looks confused, and the fans don’t seem happy.

Winner: Mr. Anderson

We get a replay of the pinfall and it looks like Hardy clearly kicked out of the pin. The result seems like it will stand though and Hardy looks amicable to the decision. Anderson makes his way up the ramp, not looking too happy about the victory. Taz and Tenay discuss between themselves whether or not Hardy actually kicked out.

Backstage:

Christy Hemme is backstage with Austin Aries where she’ll be asking questions from Twitter. Someone wants to know if Aries is intimidated by Ray. Aries says no. His whole life people have tried to intimidate him, but it’s not in his nature, no matter how big or tough someone is. He says Ray has disrespected him, and tonight he gets that respect tonight. Ray thinks bigger is better. Aries thinks better is better. He says tonight this little man will pick up all 280 pounds of Ray and drop him on his head, and defeat him. He’ll look big when Ray is on his back after Aries has won.

In the Arena:

JB interviews Joseph Park in the crowd. Park says he rode all the rides at Universal Studios, except the ones he couldn’t fit on. Park says that he’s made a lot of new friends tonight, and he’s happy to be here. Park says he didn’t see Abyss’ return because of Bully Ray’s attack. He says that he knows his brother Chris is close, and he wouldn’t be surprised if he shows up tonight. He says in the meantime, he’s going to sit back and watch Austin Aries kick Bully Ray’s a-, but he stops himself.

In the Arena:

Apparently this is turning into an episode of Impact as Crimson makes his way out to the ring to grab a mic. He says everyone know what he’s capable of. Everyone saw it on Thursday when he put down Matt Morgan without even breaking a sweat. He says all he does is win and that’s what he’ll continue to do. He says no one in the back wants to fight him, and no one in the crowd wants to fight him. He went around to everyone in the back and issued an open challenge.

Crimson calls a ref into the ring. He says he came here tonight, to have a fight, and to win. He asks the ref if he knows what that’s like. The ref says no. Crimson tells the ref to ring the bell, count to ten, and call Crimson the winner. The bell rings, and the ref begins the count.

The ref makes it to eight before he’s interrupted by the music of the Knockouts Tag Team Champions. ODB and EY make their way out to the entrance ramp. ODB has a mic. She says if he wants to throw down an open challenge, she’s beaten bigger broads than his undefeated ass. EY says these people know where she’s going. He says they’re married and in love. Her problems are EY’s problems, if Crimson is good enough for ODB, he’s good enough for him. EY charges into the ring and lock up with the ref.

Crimson vs. Eric Young

Crimson attacks EY, taking him into the corner. EY does a headstand in the corner and takes Crimson down with a big head scissors. EY continues the assault and sends Crimson to the outside. Crimson heads back into the ring, and after a bit of trouble from EY, he manages to toss him over the top rope and to the outside. Crimson follows and mounts EY with a series of punches. ODB gets involved, and Crimson backs her off. Crimson rolls EY back into the ring and goes for the pin and gets a two count. Crimson hits a falcon arrow for another two count before locking in a cravat.

EY fights out of the hold, but he eats an elbow and a big exploder suplex from Crimson. Crimson waits for EY to get to his feet, and he’s caught from behind by ODB. Crimson shoves ODB down hard. EY isn’t happy, pulling down his pants to reveal American flag trunks. EY takes Crimson down with some big clotheslines before taking him to the mat with a body slam. EY hits a flying elbow drop before going to check on ODB. Crimson attacks and knocks EY into ODB, sending ODB crashing to the mat. Crimson hits the Red Sky, and gets the three count.

Winner: Crimson

Backstage:

JB is backstage with Bully Ray and more Twitter questions. The question is how can Ray compete with a much younger and faster Austin Aries. Ray asks if JB knows who he is. JB says he’s well aware. Ray says he doesn’t do Twitter, and when he does, he trends on Twitter. Ray goes oldschool, throwing out a Myspace URL. Ray says he saw fear in Aries’ eyes. He’s the most legit bada– Aries has been in the ring with. Ray says Aries can’t get him up in the brainbuster because he’s not man enough or big enough. He says he doesn’t care how big Aries’ heart is, because tonight he’s going to break it.

– We get a video package that highlights the history between Bully and Aries over the past few weeks, stemming from Ray making fun of Aries height and size.

Austin Aries vs. Bully Ray

The bell rings and Ray and Aries stare at each other from across the ring. Aries walks straight up to Ray in the middle of the ring and looks at him. Ray talks a little trash, so Aries backs up and props himself up in the corner, laying across the top rope. Aries gets in Ray’s face, yelling back at him. Both men begin to circle each other. Ray goes into the ropes to prevent a lock up. Ray tells the ref to calm Aries down.

Ray continues to avoid a lockup, going into the ropes and out to the apron a second time. Ray walks out to the ring steps. Rey tells the ref to tell the fans to shut up. Ray gets back into the ring, and avoids a third lock up, but on his way out, Aries kicks the second rope into Ray’s crotch. Aries beats on Ray in the corner, then catches him with a big boot. Aries launches himself off the second rope, but Ray catches him and slams him down. Ray spits in Aries’ face, so Aries slaps Ray and beats on him with repeated rights in the corner. Aries charges right into a back elbow and is laid out. Ray goes for a stomp, but Aries avoids it and bites the calf. Aries is back dropped to the apron, but he snaps Ray’s neck across the top. Aries goes up to the top, but Ray catches him with a huge boot that sends him sailing to the outside and crashing into the barricade.

Aries back has immediately started welting up and bruising. Aries is slow to make his way back into the ring, and when he does, Ray turns his attention right to Aries’ back. Ray lays in with some huge clubbing blows to Aries’ back, slowing down the pace greatly. Ray stomps away at Aries in the corner before gloating to the crowd. Ray picks Aries up and slams him down to the mat hard. Aries pulls himself up to his feet and finds himself trapped in a bear hug from Ray. Aries fights out of the hold, and runs right into a big back body drop.

Ray catches Aries with a big chop to the chest, but Aries pops up and asks for more. Ray hits another chop, but Aries it up again, hitting him with a big right hand, and a series of forearms. Ray comes back with another chop and tells Aries to stay down. Aries refuses, getting back up and hitting a couple of chops of his own. Ray rakes Aries’ eyes, then hits an elbow to the top of the head. Aries hits Ray with a shoulder to the gut and a couple of elbows to the top of the head of his own. Aries drags Ray’s face across the top rope, leaps over the big man, and takes him into the corner. Aries runs into a big boot and eats a urunage from Ray, but it’s not enough to keep Aries down for three.

Aries counters out of something and kicks away at Ray, but he ends up eating a pop-up ace crusher, but it’s still not enough to keep Aries down for three and Ray is livid. Ray grabs a chain, but Joseph Park runs to the front, saying Ray can’t do that. Ray pulls Park into the ringside area and grabs a chair, but Aries hits Ray with the heat seeking missile. Ray stumbles back into the ring, and turns around into a top rope missile dropkick. Aries charges in with a dropkick in the corner before hitting a big brainbuster. Aries goes for the pin, but Ray kicks out at two.

Ray tries for a powerbomb, but Aries counters out and locks in the last chancery, forcing Ray to tap out.

Winner: Austin Aries

– We get another Impact recap where we see Daniels and Kazarian accusing AJ Styles of having some sort of affair with Dixie Carter to achieve his status in the company.

Backstage:

JB is backstage with AJ Styles. Styles says this isn’t the first time he’s wrestled Kurt Angle, and if he’s not 100% focused on Angle, he doesn’t stand a chance. He’s not here to talk about photos, or Kaz or Daniels or Dixie. He’s here to wrestle Kurt Angle.

This leads into a video package that details the events between Kurt Angle and AJ Styles, as well as Christopher Daniels and Kazarian, that led directly to this match.

Kurt Angle vs. AJ Styles

The bell rings and both men begin circling. Styles goes for Angle’s leg, and the two wrestle down to the mat. Neither man gain an advantage before Styles rolls out of the hold. Kurt takes AJ down to the mat and the two wrestle for a bit before Styles bails to the outside.

Styles drops his knee pad and tells Styles to go for it. Angle drops to his knees and Styles kicks him in the chest. Styles beats on Angle in the corner. Styles tries for a suplex but Angle counters. Angle tries for a belly to belly suplex, but Styles fights out and rolls up Angle. Styles tries for the Styles clash, but Angle counters, trying for the ankle lock. Styles kicks him away, and the fans cheer.

Another lock up and Angle puts on a headlock. Styles fights out of it, but falls to a shoulder block and finds himself on the mat in another side headlock. Styles fights up to his feet and out of the hold, sending Angle into the corner, but he runs into a back elbow and is taken down with another side headlock.

Styles fights to his feet, sending Angle into the ropes and he follows it up with a beautiful dropkick. Styles picks up Angle and slams him to the mat before following with a knee drop that’s good for a two count. Styles tries for the Styles clash but Angle fights it off, so AJ hits a powerbomb instead. Styles pins Angle for two, then goes right into a rear chin lock.

Angle fights off the hold, but ends up sent out to the arena floor by AJ. Styles goes over the top, but Angle avoids it and catches him. Styles counters a German suplex on the floor by landing on his feet and hitting Angle with a right. Back in the ring, Styles misses a splash and Angle hits a belly to belly suplex to send Styles across the ring. Kurt lays in with a big right hand and a nasty set of boots.

Angle chokes Styles in the ropes before the ref forces a break. Angle snap mares AJ and locks in a seated bear hug, squeezing AJ’s back and midsection. Styles fights up to his feet, but runs right into a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker that’s good for another two count. Angle goes right into a body scissors, putting more pressure on Styles’ gut.

Styles fights out of the hold and kicks Angle in the chest, but he runs right into a back drop from Angle. Angle goes for another pin but Styles kicks out at one. Angle locks in another side headlock, rearing back on the mat.

Styles fights out of the hold and both men miss dropkicks, but connect with simultaneous cross body blocks. Both men crash to the mat.

Styles catches Angle with a big kick, but misses a springboard move. Styles comes right back with a nasty across the knee neckbreaker that’s good for another two count. Styles hits a springboard forearm to Angle’s face for another near fall. Styles tries for the Styles clash, but Angle blocks it with a back body drop. Angle charges, but Styles side-steps him and Angle crashes to the outside. Styles springboards to the outside with a flying forearm shot to Angle.

Styles sends Angle back into the ring, but on his way in, he’s caught with a huge kick to the ribs. Angle brings Styles in with a big suplex and he goes for the pin, but is only able to get a two count. Angle picks Styles up and seats him on the top rope. Angle goes up after AJ, but Styles fights him off. Angle runs right back in and up the ropes, sending AJ flying with a huge belly to belly superplex. Angle pins Styles but it’s still not enough for three. Angle tries for the Angle slam, but Styles counters out and hits the Pele. Styles hits the Styles clash and goes for the pin but Angle kicks out at two!

Styles tries for a German suplex, but Angle counters with a German suplex of his own. Both men are slow to get to their feet, fighting on their knees, then on their feet in the middle of the ring. Angle hits an uppercut, but runs into an uppercut. Angle avoids the moonsault DDT, but AJ avoids a suplex from angle. AJ rolls up Angle, but Angle kicks out and comes right back with the Angle slam, but AJ is able to kick out at two.

Angle picks Styles up and teases the Styles clash. Styles fights it off with a back body drop. Angle goes for the ankle lock instead, but AJ kicks it off and tries for a hurricanrana. Angle blocks and hits the Styles clash, putting Styles down for another two count. Styles rolls AJ to his back and heads up to the top. Angle tries for the moonsault, but way overshoots it and Styles moves. Styles hits a springboard flipping senton, but it’s still not enough to keep Angle down for three.

Angle heads to the top. Kaz and Daniels are down and cause a distraction, taking out Styles legs. Angle hits the Angle slam, but Styles still wont stay down. Angle locks in the ankle lock, and grapevines the leg, and Styles is forced to tap out.

Winner: Kurt Angle

After the match, Daniels and Kaz leap into the ring and attack Styles. Angle is quick to fend of Styles’ attackers though, sending both Kaz and Daniels from the ring. Angle offers his hand to AJ and helps him to his feet. AJ and Styles hug in the middle of the ring, and Angle raises Styles arm.

– In an attempt to kill more time, we get a recap of the Lockdown match between Kurt Angle and Mr. Anderson that saw Angle go for a ridiculous moonsault of the top of the cage, and go on to win the match.

Backstage:

After some more time-killing from Taz and Tenay, they send it to the back to JB who says that according to a poll, 76% of fans expect to see RVD win the title tonight. Bobby Roode says something doesn’t feel right, and that’s the fact that he’s talking to JB without his title around his waist. He says the stipulation tonight is a ladder match, and his pride and joy is hanging over the ring. He says RVD thinks he’s going to outsmart him tonight, but he’s dead wrong. Hogan can try to stack the deck, but RVD’s plan wont work and no one can stop him. After he climbs the ladder and retains tonight, he’ll climb into the history books because in ten days he’ll go down as the longest reigning World Champion in Impact Wrestling History, and there’s nothing anyone can do about it.

– We get a promo video for tonight’s main event.

– Bobby Roode (c) vs. Rob Van Dam

After running down the Tale of the Tape, and going over how RVD made it into this match, which I’m pretty sure they’ve already explained several times tonight, RVD is the first man to make his way out to the ring. Van Dam gets a good reaction from the crowd as he makes his way out to challenge for the title that he never lost. Bobby Roode is out next, and the champ gets a bit of a mixed reaction, and it sounds like a couple of fans are chanting for him.

After formal ring introductions from JB, I think we’re finally done with all of the stalling, and ready to get this match underway.

The bell rings and RVD and Roode jaw with each other. Roode scores a kick to the gut, sending RVD into the ropes. RVD comes back with a series of kicks, taking Roode to the mat with a kick to the side of the head. RVD sends Roode to the outside over the top rope. RVD follows out and looks under the ring before going to grab a ladder. Roode catches RVD with a boot and sends him into the barricade. RVD avoids being sent into the ring post and sends Roode into the barricade instead. RVD suplexes Roode over the guard rail and heads up to the apron, hitting a big leg drop across Roode’s back.

Van Dam grab a ladder and sets it up against the ring post. RVD heads back into the ring, but Roode kicks the middle rope into RVD’s crotch on the way in. Roode hits a DDT and lay out RVD. Roode heads to the outside and grabs a ladder, but when he goes to bring it in, RVD dropkicks the ladder into his face. Van Dam launches himself over the top, crashing down into Roode.

RVD brings the ladder into the ring and goes to climb it, but Roode stops him and sends Van Dam crashing into the ladder. Roode sets up the ladder in the corner before stomping away at RVD. Roode chops and punches RVD, but RVD reverses an Irish whip and sends Roode crashing into the ladder in the corner. RVD props the ladder in between the second and third rope. RVD ducks being thrown into the ladder, but Roode is able to catapult RVD into the ladder head first.

Roode grabs the ladder and drives it into RVD’s back before propping it up on the middle rope. Roode tries to suplex RVD on the ladder, but RVD is able to reverse it before hitting a lionsault while Roode is still laid across the ladder.

Roode catches RVD with a boot to the stomach, but he runs into a back elbow and eats a springboard kick before RVD sends Roode crashing into the ladder in the corner with a crazy flying body scissors. Van Dam picks up the ladder and props it up against Roode before going to the outside and grabbing a chair. RVD runs around the ring and drives the chair into the ladder, into Roode.

RVD grabs another ladder and sets it up in the middle of the ring. RVD begins the climb, but Roode is up right after him. Roode rakes the eyes and forces RVD to fall, but RVD tips over the ladder. Aries catches RVD with a huge clothesline.

Roode sets a ladder down in the middle of the ring and hits a huge spinebuster, planting RVD on the ladder. Roode picks up the ladder and tosses it aside. Roode tries for something, but RVD counters and monkey flips Roode into the ladder propped in the corner. RVD follows it up with rolling thunder while Roode is still laid out on the ladder. RVD sets up the ladder and kicks away at Roode before slamming the ladder down. RVD misses a kick, but a second attempt and RVD connects, laying Roode out on the ladder. RVD heads to the top and tries for the five star frog splash, but Roode moves and RVD crashes into the ladder.

Roode picks up the ladder and uses it to send Van Dam crashing out to the floor and into the barricade. Roode sets up the ladder and begins climbing to the top. RVD tries to leap into the ladder, but he botches it badly and RVD looks to mangle his own leg. Roode climbs up the ladder, and RVD tries to climb after him, but Roode pushes him down head first into the mat and chair, and RVD’s leg is twisted in the ladder again. Roode grabs the title, and falls to the mat as RVD kicks at the ladder.
