— WWE is advertising several matches for their tour of Australia at the end of August, post-Summerslam. Matches include John Cena vs Lord Tensai & John Laurinaitis in a handicap match, WWE Champion CM Punk vs Daniel Bryan in a submission match and US Champion Santino Marella vs David Otunga.
— Trendrr reports that SmackDown’s Social Media score for last night was up 3% from last week. The show earned a 55,296, which is the highest first-run Friday episode since the SmackDown after Wrestlemania. It was fourth on cable, behind the NBA Playoffs and Spongebob Squarepants. It was even with the yearly average of 55,021.
— Julie Hart has signed a book deal with Tightrope Books in Toronto. The memoir will be called Hart Strings and will be out in June 2013. She is the former wife of Bret “The Hitman” Hart. A press release says the book “will chronicle Julie’s late teen years and early romance and courtship with Bret, subsequent family life, raising a family of four children with a absentee wrestler husband, their divorce and continued presence in each others life, raising children, grandchildren and her role as one of the new matriarchs of the ever-expanding Hart family in Calgary.” The press release also mentioned a quote that Hart gave Paul Jay in the 1998 documentary Wrestling With Shadows about her life and family, as well as the wrestling business. She said : “It’s time to be normal.”
