— As noted earlier, it appears that Edge is going to let his contract with WWE expire on Monday. The 2012 WWE Hall of Famer was reportedly offered a new deal to remain exclusive to the company and didn’t sign it. As noted earlier, Edge is scheduled to make an appearance at the May 11th Resistance Pro event in Chicago, IL. This will be his first appearance outside of WWE in many years. Edge is being billed as a “special guest” at the event. The May 11th event will be headlined by champion Harry Smith vs. Rhino, who has strong ties to Edge dating back many years.
— WWE talent Damien Sandow will reportedly make his in-ring debut on SmackDown next week.
— As seen on Friday’s SmackDown, Abraham Washington continued to scout talents. He told WWE Tag Team Champions Epico and Primo with Rosa Mendes to have an answer for him by Monday’s RAW if they want him to represent them. AW also offered his professional services to Ryback.
— As seen on Friday’s SmackDown, Antonio Cesaro made his WWE TV debut in a “tryout match” against Tyson Kidd. Cesaro was introduced by his new lady friend Aksana before the match. The stipulation was that if John Laurinaitis liked what he saw, he would offer Cesaro a contract. Cesaro defeated Kidd in about three minutes and WWE’s website indicates that he is now part of the SmackDown roster.
