OCALA, Fla. Florida-based wrestling icon, Hulk Hogan confirms today on the nationally syndicated Bubba the Love Sponge® Show that he will be Grand Marshal for Saturday night’s 16th Annual Powell Memorial, a $10,000-to-win race at Bubba Raceway Park.
What: The 16th Annual Powell Memorial, featuring Hulk Hogan as Grand Marshal An event created to honor the family of James Powell, a driver and former owner of Bubba Raceway Park from 1981 to 1994. On June 17, 1995 a tragic plane crash in Gainesville, Fla. took the lives of Powell’s four-year-old twin daughters, Ashley and Nicole (whom the Bubba Raceway Park playground is dedicated to), Elizabeth Powell (mother), Buddy Powell (father), Loveda McNair (aunt), and CJ Powell (uncle).
When: Saturday, June 4th, 2011 – racing starts at 7pm
