— Steve Fernandes sent this one in: The Latern.com has an interview with James Laurinaitis, son of Joe “Animal” Laurinaitis and nephew of John Laurinaitis, who is a linebacker for the St. Louis Rams in the NFL. They mention that after he finished his college football career, he met with Vince McMahon about joining WWE but decided to stick with football and join the NFL. “One or two times when I was at OSU, he said to me, ‘You know, what do you think about coming into the family business?’ But to be honest, I hope this football deal works out long enough to where I don’t have to do any of that. I know the beating my dad took from it. He had to have nine surgeries. He can’t even lift his right arm above his head anymore.” The article also notes that during a game against the Carolina Panthers on Oct 31st, after getting an interception, he did a Ric Flair strut and later when he got a sack, he did a Hulk Hogan pose.
