— We’ve got a VERY busy weekend ahead of us. There is a Strikeforce Challengers MMA event tonight on Showtime at 11EST. We have UFC 121 tomorrow (Saturday) with an unbelievably STACKED card. This card is insane and features UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar vs. Cain Velasquez in the main event. Also on the card is Martin Kampmann vs. Jake Shields in the co-main event, Diego Sanchez vs. Paulo Thiago, Matt Hamill vs. Tito Ortiz, and Gabriel Gonzaga vs. Brendan Schaub. That is just ridiculous. Of course Sunday is the WWE Bragging Rights pay-per-view event and then Monday is RAW and Tuesday is the SD! tapings. It’s going to be VERY busy all weekend and early next week. We’ll have live coverage of all these events plus the latest updated news and rumors throughout the weekend. Please check back in often for the latest updates. Thanks for your continued support of the website and have a GREAT weekend guys!!! Be safe!
— This week’s TNA ReAction focused on the Bischoff/Hogan takeover storyline and SpikeTV/TNA were very happy with it. When the credits rolled, both Eric Bischoff and Dixie Carter were listed as people involved in the show. When someone called Bischoff out on Twitter and mentioned it, Carter re-tweeted it and added, “See how stupid THEY are?” Hah.
— Beer Money are in Japan currently, where they defeated IWGP Tag Team Champions Giant Bernard and Karl Anderson in a non-title match.
— Voting registrars in Connecticut have the ability to request that voters wearing WWE clothes cover their clothing due to the fact that Linda McMahon is associated with the company. Federal law prohibits political material in polling places. Specific enforcement of the rule will be up to the individual polling locations.
UPDATED: WWE has posted a response to the ruling on their website. The response says that fans’ right to vote “was threatened” and includes a quote from Vince McMahon:
“Denying our fans the right to vote, denying them their First Amendment rights, regardless if they are Democrat, Republican or Independent, is un-American, unconstitutional and blatantly discriminatory,” said Vince McMahon, Chairman and CEO of WWE. Yes, Vince is definitely pissed off.
