— On January 16th, WWE returns to the Taylor County Coliseum in Abilene, Texas, Louisiana. Tickets for the event go on sale November 12th at 10 AM.

— In a correction to an earlier post, WWE has been publicly traded for 11-years now. The then WWF went public on October 19th, 1999.

— Over the next few months, there will be many WWE-based children’s books released.

— The Chicago production of The Elaborate Entrance of Chad Deity, a play about pro wrestling, win five awards at the 42nd Annual Jeff Equity Awards. The play won Best New Work for playwright Kristoffer Diaz, Best Production, Best Director for Edward Torres, Best Actor in a Principle Role for Desmin Borges (who later performed the role Off-Broadway), and Best Fight Choreography for Choreographer David Woolley.

The Ring Cycle is being performed at the Bushwick Starr in Brooklyn, NY. The production is an adaptation of the Germanic Opera, Das Reingold, and is produced in English and features the Gods being played by 1980s wrestlers. — While the Night of Champions PPV was down from last year’s show of the same name, Night of Champions did not take place in September last year. WWE Breaking Point took place in September of last year, and drew roughly the same buyrate as the 2010 Night of Champions show did.

— This week’s edition of WWE Monday Night RAW scored a 9.1 rating in Mexico. For comparison, WWE SmackDown! did a 9.8, AAA did a 3.5 and CMLL scored a 2.2. It should be noted that Televisa changed CMLL’s timeslot again, and that AAA was head to head with the Chivas vs. America soccer game.
