» The Great Muta is scheduled to undergo surgery on his right knee and will be out of action for an indefinite period of time. The 47 year old wrestling icon has been postponing the surgery because he is All Japan Pro Wrestling’s top drawing star. As a result, the struggling promotion will run the Sumo Hall on 3/21 without him. There is fear that his 3/8 match in Chiba could have been his final match. Muta is still going on the road and continue working as the promotion’s sole booker. Muta’s knees are said to be in unbelievably deteriorating condition, and this will be Muta’s four surgery on his right knee.
» Dennis Condrey (of Midnight Express fame) told Georgia Wrestling History Wednesday night that he signed a contract earlier in the day with World Wrestling Entertainment. He starts tomorrow (Monday), and will be located in Tampa working with the NXT crew.
» As reported on earlier, WWE has already made more changes to their upcoming PPV schedule in 2010. The May 23 PPV, originally renamed to Wild Card, will now be called Over The Limit. Fatal Four Way will remain taking place on June 20. Bragging Rights will be returning on October 24. Still no name for November with the company dropping Survivor Series, but it will take place November 21. The final PPV of the year will be TLC on December 19.
» Tooth Fairy with Dwayne Johnson is looking at finishing it’s theatrical run at $55 million domestically and $90 million worldwide. The movie has done big business in Russia, Australia, and throughout South America.
