WWE Confirms NXT Show, The Rock/Oprah Update, J.R News, More

— During this week’s WWE Superstars broadcast on WGN, a commercial aired confirming that WWE’s new Tuesday night show will be called “NXT.” The show was described as new and “revolutionary,” with no mention of the ECW brand it’s replacing. I believe the show is going to turn into a reality type show similar to Tough Enough. I’m not sure yet though.

— As noted earlier, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson will be appearing on Friday’s edition of “The Oprah Winfrey Show.” It will be Johnson’s first time on the program. Musical star Pink, whose Grammy performance grabbed headlines last weekend, will appear as the music guest. For more information, visit Oprah.com.

— Jim Ross recently noted the following about the Hart family DVD: Anxious to see the new DVD coming out in April entitled “Hart and Soul: The Hart Family Anthology” as many member of the Hart family are outspoken and learned about the biz and obviously of the life and times of the iconic family. I think Dr. Phil would have blast with this complex and entertaining family. I can’t wit to get my advance copy of this DVD. He also noted: For the record, I’m a wrestling fan and I choose to never be called a “cast member” instead. I don’t adhere to the philosophy that the “studio audience” is the same as the “studio audience” on, say, The Price is Right. Ugh.
