— The following email came from someone claiming to be Steve Lewington, previously known as DJ Gabriel in WWE: This is the real Steve Lewington (formerly DJ Gabriel). I realise the nature of wrestling fans and that many of them try to emulate and actually pretend to be other wrestlers. This is not a unique situation, and so far I have let the blogs and interviews slide with people or groups of people pretending to be me. They have all been complimentary towards myself and my former employer. But, quite understandably, I am getting increasingly aggravated by these ‘in-depth’ blogs and interviews. I have only ever written one blog as DJ Gabriel on the WWE Universe site that asked for dance move suggestions. As a professional, it can be damaging on many levels to have other people make up fictitious answers and circumstances regarding my career, especially when it includes the names of other professionals and co-workers that I have associated with. I will not allow my name and reputation to be damaged by people who have no right to be making any kind of statement regarding my person and my life. I will be taking steps to make sure the situation is made perfectly clear. Please may you post this statement. Sincerely, Steve Lewington It’s not currently known if the email did in fact come from Lewington.
