Bret Hart On TNA vs. WWE, More On What The Miz Said On RAW

In an interview with The Calgary Sun, Bret Hart reiterates that WWE’s interest in bringing “The Hitman” back to the ring was not motivated by TNA’s signing of Hulk Hogan. “[TNA is] playing it up like that,” says Hart. “Like WWE was scared of whatever Hulk Hogan was going to do, so they went and got Bret Hart to compete.” Hart had actually been in talks regarding a WWE return for many months. In the interview, Bret also dismisses the notion that money played a role in his decision. He noted that his girlfriend’s current stint at Mount Royal University has left him with a lot of free time, so he felt it was a good opportunity to get some closure over Montreal and preserve his family’s wrestling legacy. “The Hitman” did not discuss specifics regarding his WWE storyline, but he did express a desire to create a bigger opportunity for The Hart Dynasty. Regarding a possible match with Vince McMahon, he would not confirm that plan but did note, “I don’t mind throwing a few punches [at McMahon].”

A few readers sent word that The Miz did not say he was gay — in French — to Maryse this past week on RAW. Reader TJ had this to say: “To let you know, The Miz didn’t say “je suis gai, tu me veux” he said “je sais que tu me veux” which means “i know that you want me”. it was just his bad French accent that made this sound like “je suis gai.” Another reader sent word that The Miz actually said he was cheerful. Reader Neu provided the following: “My mother has been a french speaker all her life. She checked out what the miz said and immediately said it meant cheerful. There wasn’t even a moment of hesitation. She told me it definitely didn’t mean homosexual.”
