— RAW superstar Sheamus, who will square off against WWE Champion John Cena this weekend in a tables match at the Tables, Ladders and Chairs pay-per-view, was recently interviewed by IrishCentral.com and spoke about life on the road, his training regemin what his Irish heritage means to him, his career aspirations, the road that led him to WWE and more. The 31-year-old Dublin native, whose real name is Stephen Farrelly, is actually a former IT professional, actor, and security guard. When asked about his match against John Cena at Sunday’s TLC PPV, Sheamus said, “There’s no doubt in my mind that I’m going to walk out of TLC as WWE champion. I’m ready. I want to make history. I want to be the first Irishman to become WWE champion — and I will,” he said. “I’m going to put Cena through a table. I’ve already done it once and I’m gonna do it again. All the time I’ve been with WWE, I’ve been making statements, you know what I mean? I retired Jamie Noble. The fella can’t even walk properly. I’m not a nice guy!” Sheamus explained that his path to WWE was unlike most of today’s young superstars. “I wanted to do this my whole life. I did whatever it took to get noticed and get experience. I traveled in shows throughout Ireland, the U.K., Italy and Portugal. I honed my craft and proved my experience. People said I was crazy, I was working all the jobs back home. But anything is possible if you put your mind to it.”
