Former ECW backstage announcer Lena Yada posted a blog on her MySpace account talking about seeing her former WWE co-workers at a recent show. She also says she spoke to former WWE Diva Victoria over and the phone. The two were travel partners during Yada’s short stay in WWE. “I just spoke with Victoria on the phone and I must say, I MISS HER!!!!! I feel very fortunate to have been able to work with her and more so, to still have her friendship. She is truly one of a kind,” Yada wrote. “A couple of the boys were in town for the west coast house shows and tapings. It was super fun to see them and hang out again. Sorry everybody, no pics this time….my camera was broken :-( But I must say, and please repeat after me: Alcohol is not a food group….alcohol is not a food group….”
Reader Eric Sturrock sent in word that on ESPN’s NASCAR Now show yesterday, they showed the current point leaders for their 2009 NASCAR Fantasy Game and WWE star John Cena is currently in the lead. Cena picked four drivers who finished in the Top 10 in last weekend’s Daytona 500 Race.
The word making the rounds at the No Way Out PPV on Sunday was that Vince McMahon and Hulk Hogan were in talks about the possibility of Hogan doing a match at WrestleMania. John Cena was originally rumored to be Hogan’s opponent, but WWE clearly shook things up at No Way Out and started a John Cena vs. Edge program on RAW. With Mickey Rourke’s WrestleMania involvement still up in the air, there’s now talk of Hulk Hogan wrestling Chris Jericho at WrestleMania as part of the ongoing “legends” storyline. As I noted yesterday, it all depends on Mickey Rourke and what he does after Sunday’s Oscars.
