It was reported a few days ago that Kevin Thorn’s profile had been added back to the ECW roster page on WWE.com, seemingly implying that he was returning to the brand soon. However, the profile has since been removed. Though he wasn’t used, he was brought in for last week’s television tapings for the first time in a while. He recently started back up in Florida Championship Wrestling under his trademark vampire gimmick.
This week’s edition of ECW has been confirmed to be a year-in-review show. The TV preview for Tuesday’s show reads: “HD, Best of ECW wrestling 2008.” Raw and Smackdown won’t be having review shows this year. Also, the USA Network has been running commercials this weekend promoting the year-in-review show featuring various clips of the top stars of ECW.
Seldom seen Raw Superstar D-Lo Brown has a new blog talking about what he’s been up to lately. He watched last night’s Tribute to the Troops show and very much enjoyed it. “I hope you had a chance to catch Tribute to the Troops last night. AWESOME show!! It’s great to be part of a company that cares so much about the men and women in our armed forces,” Brown wrote. “And by “OUR” I mean those serving from each country. Whatever It Takes. God bless you and thank you!” He is also today’s “Superstar of the Day” on WWE.com, although they didn’t put up his picture in a split-screen graphic on the front page of the site alongside the “Daily Diva” like they usually do.
For the record, Brown has not been used by WWE since the conclusion of the European tour over a month ago on November 15. His last television appearance took place on the November 10th edition of Raw in quick 51 second loss to Mike Knox. Before that, his last appearance on Raw took place on September 1st in a loss to Santino Marella in one minute and 15 seconds, so as you can see, he hasn’t been used much by the company in recent months.
