» 10:00PM ET SITE NOTE/UPDATE: I figured I’d throw out another post here at 10EST to let you know we’re still up and running with full power here in the office. The ice continues to fall here in Albany and is set to intensify overnight with a change to snow tomorrow. I know it sounds like a weather forecast but I’m just giving you a heads up if there is no news tomorrow or until power is restored if it goes out which would not surprise me at all. Lets hope it doesn’t though! Funny story – I just took a drive (not a fun one) to meet a buddy and saw at least 20 electric company trucks lined along the road standing and waiting. I’ve never seen such a thing before. Anyone who is in Albany or the Northeast where this is taking place – PLEASE be safe!!! We’ll see where we’re at tomorrow morning. I’ve actually got people interested in pics of this so who knows, maybe we’ll throw a few up in the AM although I’m sure most of you could care less. :-]
» Bill Apter asked Matt Hardy if he’s jealous of his brother Jeff because he tends to get more news, better publicity and matches than him. Matt replied, “I’m thrilled for my brother and he is always equally thrilled with any positive movement in my career. Neither of us have a jealous bone in our bodies toward each other. When one seems to be doing better it inspires the other to work even harder!”
» There are said to be lots of front office nervousness over possible job cuts within WWE with the company stating they were looking at cutting $20 million from costs. It should be noted that a good percentage of those cuts are already in play by cutting back on the number of TV taping dates by holding Smackdown tapings every other week.
» This year’s Cyber Sunday only drew an estimated 104,000 PPV buys in North America (162,000 overall), making it the third lowest purchased PPV in WWE history. Last year’s Cyber Sunday show did 194,000 buys, with Batista vs. Undertaker (with Steve Austin as the referee) for the World Heavyweight title in the main event. With this staggering decrease in PPV buys, WWE may rethink the format for next year’s show.
