The Rated R Superstar Edge was recently interviewed by SLAM! Sports and talked about a number of topics – including his time off, why he grew his beard out (and then shaved it) and more. You can read the entire piece at Canoe.Slam.Ca. The most newsworthy item was Edge talking about the possibility of Christian Cage coming home to WWE. “If I could have Nick (Cvjetkovich – “Kizarny”), Jay (Reso – “Christian”) — I mean we grew up together. You never think all three of us could actually be in the same place.” Edge hopes Christian returns to WWE but will understand if he re-signs with TNA when his contract expires this month. Edge is excited at the prospect of reuniting the famous Edge and Christian duo. “I have enough confidence in what I’m doing I won’t let anything be a step back,” Edge said. “If anything, just take it and make it work. I’ve tried to take that mentality with anything, even if I look at something and go ‘Ooh. Ow. Oh well, make it work.’ Just go full-bore with it, because if you sit there and piss and moan about it, it’s probably not going to work.”
SmackDown rookie Ryan Braddock has cut his hair and will soon be introduced with a new Elvis-like gimmick.
Tomorrow night on Smackdown, WWE developmental talent Hade Vansen will debut in the first of a series of vignettes to introduce his new masked character. PWInsider.com reports that the “dark” character will similar to Christopher Daniels’ “Fallen Angel” gimmick . Vansen is a British talent who was signed to a developmental deal in May 2007. He was out of action for most of 2008 due to a knee injury, which has healed.
SITE NOTE: I just want to let you know that there is a MAJOR ice storm up here in Albany, NY right now. I can’t even begin to explain what it looks like outside with ice all over the power lines, roads, and trees. It looks absolutely amazing. The brunt of the storm is expected tonight and tomorrow and it’s supposed to get real nasty. The reason I am saying this is that the local news teams have pretty much guaranteed the power is likely to go out with 2+ inches of pure ice and then heavy snow on top of it tomorrow. I’m hoping to be able to continue work as normal with no issues but who knows. So if you don’t see me or any news around during the next few days, you know why. Otherwise, work will continue on as normal.
