WM FACTS:
– Wrestlemania V eminated from the Trump Plaza for the second year in a row, the only venue to hold two consecutive Wrestlemanias in a row.
– Hulk Hogan won his second WWF title at Wrestlemania V, the first of three WWF titles he would win at Wrestlemania.
– The Ultimate Warrior’s first pinfall loss in the WWF occured at Wrestlemania V, as he was pinned by Ravashing Rick Rude.
– Wrestlemania V was the Wrestlemania debuts of future WWF champions, The Ultimate Warrior and Shawn Michaels, the late, great Owen Hart, Curt “Mr. Pefect” Hennig, and the Big Bossman.
– Wrestlemania V also saw the break up of Strike Force, as Rick Martel turned on Tito Santana in their match with the Brain Busters, Martel would then go on to become “The Model, Rick Martel.”
– Wresltlemania V featured 13 matches, including The Red Rooster squashing Bobby Hennan in about 10 seconds.
