On Raw tonight, Stephanie McMahon unveiled her “huge announcement,” announcing that on October 28, WWE will hold its first ever all-women PPV, called “Evolution.” It will take place at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Long Island, NY and will air on the WWE Network at 7 PM ET.
Stephanie announced that “over 50 women, then, now and forever” will participate on the show. WWE said that every woman on the roster will be part of the show, and there will also be women from NXT and NXT UK. Lita and Trish Stratus were also announced for the show.
It will include title matches for the Raw Women’s Championship, SmackDown Women’s Championship, NXT Women’s Championship and NXT UK Women’s Championship. Also, the finals of the Mae Young Classic will take place at the PPV.
The PPV has been rumored for a couple of weeks, and speculation is that part of the reason for it is to partly “make up” for the women’s roster being banned from the Greatest Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia (and all of WWE’s future Saudi Arabia shows, probably).
