Upcoming New Content for the WWE Network
WWE announced that new content for the WWE Network will be arriving to the service within the upcoming months. The announcement was made during the broadcast of WWE’s Hall of Fame ceremony on Friday.
A second Mae Young Classic tournament, WWE UK King of the Ring tournament, The Greatest Royal Rumble special on April 27th, several new WWE 24 documentaries, and a new show were among the announcements made for the Network.
In regards to new WWE 24 documentaries, one based on The Hardy Boys, one based on Ronda Rousey, and one based on RAW 25 were specifically mentioned. In regards to the new show, a WWE Network version of the Bruce Prichard and Conrad Thompson podcast called Something Else To Wrestle With was revealed to be arriving soon.
Besides WWE’s announcement, Natalya revealed on Twitter that a new Table For 3 episode was recently taped featuring Nia Jax, Beth Phoenix, and herself as the guests. Matt Hardy also revealed on Twitter that a new Table For 3 episode with himself as one of the guests was recently taped during the week. Edge revealed on Instagram that a new season of the Edge & Christian show will be arriving soon to the Network.
XFL Trademarks Update
As previously reported, Vince McMahon’s Alpha Entertainment filed several trademarks related to the revival of the XFL.
In an update to this situation, PWInsider’s Steven Fernandes reported that all of Alpha Entertainment’s trademark filings for the new XFL were given an initial refusal by the United States Patent and Trademark Office. The official reason was due to possible confusion with WWE’s own trademarks for the XFL.
Al Snow to Become the New Owner of Ohio Valley Wrestling
Ohio Valley Wrestling recently announced on their Facebook page that Al Snow is currently in the process of becoming the new owner of the company and more details will be announced at a later date. Snow confirmed the news during one of Impact Wrestling’s official Twitch streams held on Friday.
