After last night’s Ring of Honor Global Wars show in Buffalo, NY, when the cameras stopped rolling, Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks got on the mic and talked to the crowd, with the Young Bucks “cutting a promo” referencing several WWE-related incidents over the past couple of weeks, including:
– The Bullet Club “invading” Raw last month
– WWE sending a cease and desist letter to the Young Bucks over the “too sweet” gesture
– WWE writer Jimmy Jacobs being fired over a photo with the Bullet Club
– WWE forcing wrestlers to work live on Christmas
Matt Jackson: “I don’t even know where to begin. These last few weeks have been such a whirlwind in our career. We staged a now infamous invasion. I want to say how much I love this company, Ring of Honor, and I’m not just saying that. I love this place for a certain reason. I can do, I can say whatever the hell I want and I’m not going to get a damn cease and desist letter. I love this company so much, I have the benefit and freedom to take a selfie with whoever I damn well please. But most importantly, I love this company because of all you fans. I mean that. … You are helping put diapers on my babies.”
Nick Jackson: “The family who we will see on Christmas day.”
The crowd erupted in a “Fuck Vince” chant.
Matt: “You think because you’re a billion dollar company that you can take some silly hand gesture away from me? You’re not taking it away from me. You’re taking it from every one of you (fans). But, since you guys didn’t get a stupid letter in the mail, how about on three you say ‘Too Sweet’ and you put those damn hands in the air.” (Crowd then said “Too Sweet”)
Kenny Omega: “You can take away our last names. You can take away our hand symbols. But you can’t take our freedom.”
