Alberto El Patron was interviewed by Sports Illustrated and said that he and GFW are “working to bring back Alberto El Patron to the company.”
“I’ve been in touch with Global Force Wrestling, and we’re working to bring back Alberto El Patron to the company,” said Patron. “We’re working to find something that will please the fans. At the end of the day, I work for the fans; they are the ones I work to please. I am going to put all my heart, all my passion into making this work. I am completely focused on where I want to take the company in November, and I promise to make the company great again, and Alberto is going to be on top again.”
Alberto is still indefinitely suspended, but was expected to be back either by the Bound for Glory PPV on November 5, or the TV tapings after that. However, that was before the whole Jeff Jarrett fiasco, where Jarrett was forced to “take an indefinite leave of absence.” There were rumors that Alberto was going to wrestle Jarrett soon, but that won’t be happening (for now, at least).
Jarrett had been rumored to be pushing for Alberto to be re-instated, while Anthem’s Ed Nordholm, who forced Jarrett out, was rumored to want to cut ties with Alberto.
