Brock Lesnar has re-entered the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) testing pool, a requirement for fighting in MMA. According to Pro Wrestling Sheet, Lesnar re-entered the pool in order to “keep his options open” when his WWE contract expires after WrestleMania 34.
Lesnar has told WWE officials that as of now, he doesn’t intend to re-sign when his contract expires, according to Pro Wrestling Sheet. However, that could obviously change if WWE makes him the right offer, and Lesnar could also be using it as a negotiation tactic.
Lesnar was suspended for one year in July 2016, but retired from MMA in February 2017, with 5 months remaining in his suspension. Re-entering the USADA pool now begins the 5 month countdown again, so Lesnar would be eligible to return from his suspension in November or December, assuming he just re-entered the pool recently.
There were rumors today that Lesnar recently met with UFC officials and may be planning a return fight for November 4 at Madison Square Garden, but Pro Wrestling Sheet claims that that isn’t true (as of now, at least).
